Created in 1997, the AKA, Association Kébémer Amitiés, is based in Alsace, and since 2 years ago in Sweden as well.  Please take the time to browse the website AKA SVERIGE.

It was the meeting between Jo Laengy, a journalist of Colmar, and Sophie  Dieye, the dynamic director of the school  M'Baye Fatma Kébé, located in Kébémer (south of Saint Louis in Senegal) that started this project of humanitarian aid.  Help from the AKA permitted the refurbishment of the school to make it one of the most welcoming in its region.  Other schools were then integrated into this program that you may read more about it (in the french version of this article or on the websites).  A Swedish chapter of the aid project was established in 2003.  If you would like to make a contribution please contact us
