11 concerts are scheduled from July 18th to August 3rd. They are part of the experimental festival that is often a launching point for the invited groups. The 15th international Festival of cinema, art, and video of the vine and wine was held May 30, 31 and Juin 1, 2008 in Gruissan (France). The grand jury gave prizes OENOVIDEO 2008French and English cinematographers. This festival is a great way to promote the vineyards and the work done. There were also photo exhibits. The theme this year was: animals and flowers in the vines.
The natural environment of the vineyard, especially if it is an organic vineyard is very rich and can be an extraordinary refuge for fauna and flora. A multitude of animals of all sizes small and large, find refuge throughout the year amongs the vines, under the leaves, in the shade, because they are attracted by the odors and grapes: insectes, butterflies, worms, caterpillars, spiders, snails, centipedes, rabbits, boars, birds, and more… A large variety of plants and flowers surround the vines giving them color and smells. this extraordinary biodiversity was exposed in the show Terroirs d’images® . Alsace Nature, partnered with APILL, proposes a Sunday in the Nature by train and bike onthe section haut-rhinois of the Eurovéloroute Nantes-Budapest, between Mulhouse and the Rhin river. After the train TER from Colmar to Mulhouse, the group will take to the path from Mulhouse to discover the canal, les ecological refurbishments of the Niffer canal, the new extension of the reserve of the Petite Camargue Alsacienne as well as the new bike path of Huningue. There will be comments by a naturalist guide throughout the mostly easy 3-hour bike journey . The return is by train TER from Saint-Louis to Colmar.
