During this sommer the Blue House in Riquewihr is booked for short stays for family come together. Perfect location if you don't want to drive too far, stay next to an airport or train connexion, take grand'ma, grand'pa, children, grand'children and share this large holiday house together. All facilities nearby for different generations and a lot to see and visit ! "Thanks a lot for this stay at the Maison Bleue, ist was wonderfull, the house is very beautifull and perfect for 16 people. Thanks for the welcome gift, we also took a few bottles in the wine cellar and take some pinot noir home" wrote the Wiczinski Family this morning.
During this time the Family Luthi from Switzerland stayed at the pond house and appreciate the nature and the quietness of this place. Thanks for this picture ! "we had the most peacefull holidays of our life ! quietness and climate where perfect, hikking and dreaming, our dogs loved also a lot. Perhaps you should tell to your visitors that the 2 houses are not really independant, we didn't know about it. The stay was wonderfull and we certainly will come back to this region another time".
You are right, the houses are built "back to back" but the private outdoors are separate and Chez Marie is only occupied in july and august. Thanks for this and see you soon.

Première sortie de l'année et tournée auprès de quelques membres à commencer par le Vignoble Klur pour l'apéritif. Le convinium du Haut Rhin porte le nom de Schnackala (petit escargot en alsacien) et est membre du mouvement Slowfood France. Dégustation de vins Klur et des succulents fromages des Quesnot de Colmar (fromagerie st Nicolas) et puis diner chez Henri Gagneux à la Palette à Wettolsheim. L'occasion d'échanger sur les actions de l'année à venir. Belle dynamique de groupe sous la houlette de Nicolas Senn.

"The welcoming could not have been better. We were welcomed warmly and we were explained all that we should know with great details. All the information given to us was very useful.We also loved the wine tasting tour chez le Vignoble Klur. We stayed at La maison Bleue, its location , its original decor was fanstastic, better than we expected all guests were comfortable and very pleased. One thing I found, specially me because I was the cook, was that the kitchen was a bit small to feed all these people. I guess that could not be helped. In any case I managed and we enjoyed numerous good communal meals on the terrace outside and in the lovely dining room. I really have no complaint nor do all our 13 guests. Au contraire, this vacation was for us all went beyond our expectation. I want to take the opportunity then to thank you for your taste, flair and vision which have allowed the success of this adventure".

One of the visitors liked very much mami's garden and he is still here....
The Radu family from Bucharest came to Katzenthal in July to try the amazing sauerkraut that we promised to prepare 2 years ago as we visited Romania. Choucroute Formidable and everything that goes with it of course ! We are lucky to export to this interesting country we discoverd in 2006. The melancholic sounds of Ionna Radu and some brandies helped every body to digest the meal. It was a festive afternoon !! Hope to see you back soon.

"Chère Francine, cher Clément, un très grand merci pour l’accueil jeudi dernier. Nous étions si contents et Jan était absolument ravi de notre visite et la dégustation. Il adore les vins d’Alsace maintenant et ça me plaît beaucoup. Un grand merci aussi aux parents de Clément. J’attache quelques photos de notre visite. Jan a parlé avec son fils pour enregistrer les sons que fait le vin en fermentation, c'est possible ! malheureusement il n’avait pas de micro cette fois mais nous y penserons à notre prochaine visite. Il serait excellent d’avoir cette musique au site de Klur ou sur le téléphone portable. Si tu peux trouver quelque chose je serais très content. Bien le bonjour de Suède et à bientôt." La famille Sell est venue de l'ouest des Etats Unis au grand complet séjourner à Katzenthal pendant deux semaines pour essayer de retrouver les traces de l'un de leur ancêtres parti d'Alsace au début du 19e siècle et partager un peu du mode de vie du village. We are back home and hope that your harvest will be good in spite of the difficulties. We would love to come to help with the harvest. Perhaps next year. I have other cousins here who are eager to come to Alsace as well, and we all hope to return to you.
